The Design Automation Conference is launching an AI pavilion this year, making it indispensable for those working in silicon
What is DAC?
DAC is the home for AI hardware IP, AI design automation and everything between TensorFlow idea and silicon chip implementation. And this year it’s adding an AI pavilion!
AI Hardware is driving the largest wave of design activity in decades. Taming the enormous computational complexity and the wide application of AI is fertile ground for new ideas and startups. Converting these ideas into working hardware circuits is the core value of Design Automation, and the major technical focus of DAC.
Why a DAC AI pavilion now?
DAC has grown with each edition. Consequently, current participants can expect to connect with more than five thousand designers, executives, researchers, and tool developers.
To address this explosion of activity, DAC is launching the AI Pavilion, located next to the popular DAC Pavilion with over 17 presentations spread out over 3 days. Each day, the DAC Pavilion will feature AI/Machine Learning design topics that draw hundreds of attendees to the AI Pavilion and showcase the startups and suppliers participating.
What is more, the 57th edition of DAC will be held at Moscone West Center in San Francisco, CA from July 19 – 23, 2020. This means that it will co-locate with SEMICON West 2020, July 21 – 23, 2020.

Stay tuned for more about why the DSP Valley community should head to the DAC AI Pavilion this summer!
DSP Valley member Sigasi has been exhibiting at DAC for many years now. This conference is a must-attend on their international event schedule. Therefore Bob Seghers, General Manager of Sigasi, and member of the DSP Valley Board of Directors, is happy to counsel fellow members of the DSP Valley about how and why they should also attend. Indeed, we’ll be talking to Sigasi more in the coming weeks and reporting back to you about what he and his team have learned. Stay tuned for tips, tricks, and additional information!
