The top floors of Silo-T – Interbrew’s old grain silos in Leuven – are converted into VeroTech’s new headquarters. From here VeroTech meets the war for talent head on and provides you with skills in the field of electronics, embedded software, mechanics and mechatronics every day.
VeroTech has provided engineering services to top companies in Belgium for the last 7 years. With 6 employees they place as many as 60 engineers at major technology companies. In addition, the company also develops innovative opportunities to offer new solutions through R&D skills in response to requests of customers.
Last year they already opened a regional site in Ghent and for next year VeroTech is looking to open a base in Wallonia. End of 2017 the centrally located headquarters got updated , they are now fully furnished in accordance with the VeroTech values and with the principles of the new way of working.
Managing Director Veronique Van de Kerckhove: “The move to the location in Silo-T in the Fonteinstraat is rooted in VeroTech’s growth policy. In the space of just a few years both the number of consultants and the turnover have as much as tripled. We have very ambitious plans for 2018 and the following years.”
The new office officially opened on Thursday 22 February 2018. Guest speaker Thomas Joos shared his insights around innovation and organisation. Thomas has supported creative teams in product development for more than 10 years. Second guest speaker Pieter-Jan Corthouts, Operations Manager at Materialise, was best placed to explain the unique co-operation between VeroTech and his company. VeroTech’s expertise in hardware and testing was essential to bring their project – the development of a 3D-scanner that can scan faces – to a successful conclusion. This scanner allows spectacle frames to be printed ‘literally tailor-made’ for the user. A feat of innovative cutting-edge technology for a renowned eyewear brand!
